about

Founded in 1922, Weird Tales is a American pulp magazine featuring prophetic tales of dark fantasy, cosmic horror, supernatural revenge, and the sorcery of terror. Noted for its memorable lurid covers, during its classic era it featured many stories by the likes of HP Lovecraft, Robert E Howard, August Derleth, Robert Bloch and Ray Bradbury and 100 years after its inception publication of the magazine continues intermittently.

Inspired by the spirit of this magazine and the recent fourth series of Stranger Things, Weird Tales by Network 23 brings together our usual Pot Pourri of styles and influences with 1980s synthwave, Space Rock and Berlin School styles to the fore.

This album also sees the return of our regular side-by-side live collaborations hampered for the last few years by COVID-19, and its good to be working like this again bouncing ideas off each other in real time.
