about

Simon: Wind in The Willows is a classic Edwardian Children's story about the adventures of group of anthropomorphized animals set in pastoral world of the Thames Valley. In the magical chapter 'The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, Ratty and Mole, searching for a lost otter cub are drawn by the sound of a pipe and are overawed by the power and beauty of the moment as they meet the God Pan, the protector of animals.

This track, played entirely on guitars was inspired by and can be listened to whilst reading that chapter, the birdsong and weaving guitar lines painting a picture of that early morning encounter.

Alan: If I dreamt I fell asleep in a forest, this would be the soundtrack for me being woken up, covered in dew, by the sound of the dawn chorus.
